This letter is to confirm the terms of our engagement with you and to clarify the nature and extent of the services we will provide. In order to ensure an understanding of our mutual responsibilities, we ask clients for whom legal documents are prepared to confirm the following arrangements:
We will prepare your documents from information you will furnish to us. We will not audit your records but will prepare your legal documents from the information you supply, although it may be necessary to ask you for clarification of some of the information. Therefore the responsibility for the correctness and accuracy of such information rests with you.
It is your responsibility to provide all the information required for the preparation of accurate returns. You should retain all the documents, canceled checks and other data that form the basis of income and deductions. These may be necessary to provide assurance regarding the accuracy and completeness of the returns to taxing authority.
The responsibility for providing us the source documents on a timely basis rests with the client and in case any penalty is levied on the client for late submission of returns (as a result of their late submission of records), Infotaxsquare shall have no responsibility for that.
We will use professional judgment in resolving questions where the tax law is unclear, or where there may be conflicts between the taxing authorities' interpretations of the law and other supportable positions. Unless otherwise instructed by you, we will resolve such questions in your favor whenever possible.
Your credit card will be charged on every first day of the month according to the fees scheduled in the contract. Both parties have right to terminate the contract any time during the year.
If the foregoing fairly sets forth your understanding and limitations of our agreement regarding this engagement please check the box to approve. However, if you have any questions or reservations regarding this engagement letter please call us so that we may discuss the matter in person. Please note that our firm has adopted this policy and will not sign off on any documents that are not accompanied by an approved engagement letter.
